PALM SPRINGS

WE ARRIVED AT LAX IN THE LATE AFTERNOON, TWO FROM HAMBURG, ONE FROM ST. PETERSBURG. FIRST STOP WALKING ON STEPS OF THE ALMIGHTY ANTHONY BOURDAIN WAS THE LAX IN’N’OUT BURGER. FOLLOWED BY A LONG BUT BEAUTIFUL DRIVE OUT TO PALM SPRINGS. I LOVE THAT DRIVE OUT HIGHWAY 10. LOVE THE SUNSET AND THE WIND MILLS. PALM SPRINGS IS SPECIAL. IN SO MANY SENSES. IT IS IT’S OWN UNIVERSE. HARD TO DESCRIBE. IT’S OLD BUT AT THE SAME TIME SO MODERN BECAUSE OF THE HIGH DENSITY OF THESE UNREAL „ZEITLOS“ MID CENTURY HOUSES THAT ARE THERE TO TELL YOU THAT WE HAD TIMES WHERE DESIGN ACTUALLY IMPROVED LIFES. WE SPENT 3 DAYS IN ONE OF MANY PERFECTLY SIZED WELL BALANCED HOUSES, DROVE AROUND, AND SHOT THE UPCOMING CRUISE COLLECTION.
